Excerpts from the book New Perspectives on Contraception by Dr. Donald DeMarco Self-Division (p.
29)
Contraception, which separates baby-making from love-making,
is a form of radical dualism that perfectly mirrors the dualism of
our time. And to be in step with the times, in this regard, is to
be at odds with one's self. By pitting conception against sex, a kind
of warfare within the self takes place. This warfare escalates through
sterilization to abortion. Thus, babies are not the flower of interpersonal
love, but enemies
